Bush Monkeyflower from the Sierra
This is Mimulus aurantiacum variety grandiflorum. M. aurantiacum is common throughout most of CA, but the variety grandiflorum is found primarily in the northern Sierra. In my opinion it is one of the most beautiful flowers in the mountains. South Fork Yuba River, May 2009
