Camp & Mt Humphreys | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
February 11, 2011 - Mt Humphreys (13,986') & the full East Arete (5.5) from our camp at 11,000'. I know about the "S". I tried to correct it, but I didn't have a light eraser. :-)

Hasn't voted | hey, awesome trip report! How did you take this picture? I'm thinking you set your shutter speed really slow but how did you not get your body in the picture? | | Posted Mar 1, 2011 10:26 am |

The photo was about a 1.5-2 min exposure. When you take long exposures at night, it takes longer for darker objects to be captured on film, so if you don't stand still for too long, you can run around in a scene and not show up in the picture. However, if someone shines a light on you then you'll immediately show up. | | Posted Mar 1, 2011 10:47 am |

Hasn't voted | I've been practicing in Yosemite this winter with Steph as my internet mentor. She's pretty nice about giving advice! | | Posted Mar 1, 2011 12:22 pm |
