Campsite near Cold Springs TH
Trailhead beta: Good camping is limited near the Cold Springs trailhead due to grazing cattle and limited access to water. This campsite is located approx 1/2 mile south of the USFS sign that marks the start of the Dry Creek trail. There is a good sized stream .1 mile to the southwest of the campsite (through the trees in the upper right corner of the photo), which is marked by cairns. Photo taken July 28, 2006.

"To lovers of the wild, these mountains are not a hundred miles away. Their spiritual power and the goodness of the sky make them near, as a circle of friends."   --John Muir
