Can someone name this Peak?... | [ Sizes: Orig | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Can someone name this Peak? Looking South from Gothic Basin. Foggy Lake and Del Campo are directly behind me. Gothic Peak is behind me to the right. Can't find it identified anywhere! Comments[ Post a Comment ] | Alpinist | Sheep Gap | |
Voted 10/10 | Never been there but the topo map shows Sheep Gap as being the prominant peak south of Foggy Lake. | | Posted Aug 4, 2005 12:40 am |

Voted 10/10 | The pointy thing is the North Peak of Sheep Gap (Pk 5683). Behind it and not really visible is the main peak of Sheep Gap (Pk 5819. Both are seldom climbed, the main peak more so. The main peak is hard to get to from where you took the photo due to a shear wall on the south side of the north peak's east ridge. I've heard horror stories. | | Posted Aug 4, 2005 12:52 am |

Hasn't voted | Thank you. I thought that was it from the topo too, but when I viewed pics of Sheep Gap, they must have been from the other side, because it appeared very different. | | Posted Aug 4, 2005 11:42 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks Paul. I thought it was Sheep Gap from the topo, but the pictures I then viewed looked entirely different. They must have been shots of the main peak from the other side. | | Posted Aug 4, 2005 11:46 am |
