I bet this peak is a better climb in winter/spring than it is in the summer... during the summer, I'd suggest Secor's "County Line" route (which as I recall follows a ridge) as the best route from Taboose Pass, with the southern chute a better choice for descent. The chute is filled with really loose scree/talus (it isn't even much fun to slide down), and would be an absolutely terrible slog to ascend.
