Did you make it?

You pushed all the way from here to try and make the summit? With it being that late? I guess I'm always used to my alpine starts. Anyways this is a good ice axe photo.

Re: Did you make it?

Hey Josh,

It was July and the snow was in great condition, even in the afternoons. We got up under Disappointment peak about 9000+ feet I suppose and my girlfriends dad conked out. Mt girlfriend and I decided to continue onward but had made an agreement with her dad to meet back at his resting location at a certain time. Getting around the bottom of Disappointment and onto the Cool took us longer than expected. When we reached the saddle between the main summit and Disappointment we were greeted with huge gusts of wind and sand shooting in our faces! it was intimidating and our time had ran out so we decided to turn back from there and to meet her dad. It was an awesome time overall and I am looking forward to returning and trying the Sauk River approach next time. Maybe the road will be open for us! i saw my first bear ever on this trip among other awesome stuff, but I long to get to the top to find the view of the North Cascades!

We took a long and unique approach from the South from the White River Trailhead and continuing up the Indian Creek/Indian Pass to the PCT and then to White Pass, it was beautiful but there was TONS of blowdown on that Indian River Trail. And the jets on their training missions flying low overhead was awesome.
