| A great peak for snowshoeing or winter camping. Even as out of shape as I am I made the northern tower in just under 2.5 hours from the snow park. Great views and plenty of shoots to climb and runouts to practice self arrest. | |

| Snowshoed to south ridge, traversed over towards summit block. Had to descend then hike back up to summit block. Climbed class 3 south side of summit. Clear skies, fantastic views, Lassen was in clear view to the north. | |

| Icy snowshoe up the West ridge. Very enjoyable scramble/climb up the east turret (the true summit). Rock is solid, but some chunks did come off from the party above us. Wear a helmet or climb one at a time. Beautiful views of other Tahoe peaks, Lassen and Diablo. | |

| Nice way to end the hike. The class 4 side of the turret is lots of fun, but watch out for loose holds! Went on to Basin Peak and Andesite Mountain on the way down. | |

| Fun bc day with Jason. Went up the shoulder, climbed the summit in tele boots (awkward, glad the rock is solid), and skied down the central chute on the south face. Good turns at the top of the chute, but a little rocky at the bottom. Great spring turns on the ramps below that. Nice tour, took around 3.5hrs. | |

| I hiked and scrambled up to the summit a few times in the 90's with some friends. One time we brought a boom box and we ate some strange fungi(back in the party days). That was some wild memories of hanging out on the summit turret. | |
