Re: Thanks!

No problem. Can you be a little more specific about what is required to make this a route description because there is no active link for this route on the Mt. Hood "home page"? This is sort of a work in progress and I can certainly add more details.

Re: Thanks!

Maybe it's just the voice; the use of past tense makes it sound more like a story than a route description, especially in the opening. But I guess that's subjective.

I see you've added more detail already, and the page looks much better. To be a good route page, I think it needs a section on directions for getting to the start of the route itself. Some go buy this rule: if I can print it out, get in the car, and go just using the page, it's a good one.

Re: Thanks!

That makes sense. I decided just to make the page into a trip report, hence the passive voice. I looked at some other route descriptions and they helped. It is too far gone to be a route description. Could I create a route description based upon the same photos?

Re: Thanks!

Certainly. And I think it would be a good one.

Certainly. And I think it would be a good one. By the way, I like the narrative in the opening. Nice imagery and tone.

Climbed to look

Thanks for posting! Only trip report I could find on Cathedral Ridge approach. I was on the ridge late Sept 2010 and hiked to 6800 ft. It sure seemed like an easily doable climb... and was wondering if others climb it.

Is the date of your trip correct?

Re: Climbed to look

Thanks for spotting that. No idea why it was December. It was in early September. 6800 is the hut right?
