Voted 10/10 | INEFFABLY AWESOME! Definitely one of the top 5 pics on the whole site; one of the top five pics I think I've ever seen! Please forgive me Allari, but as soon as I saw the photo I immediately had to download it to use as my desktop wallpaper... What camera/film/setting, etc. did you use? I'm blown away! | | Posted May 31, 2006 11:31 am |

Hasn't voted | Thank You for your very nice words! Actually it was not an easy photo because of the light background and dark foreground. It was taken with a Contax 167 and a Zeiss 50mm lens, with Ektachrome 64 film, if I remember correctly, f/5.6 and exposure around 20 seconds, which is the reason for the clouds being so soft.
I also had to work on the file to pull the subtle details of the dark areas (a straight print would render them almost black!).
Some work, indeed, but well deserved. I love this shot, too ;-)
Ciao

Hasn't voted | Hi Stefano! Didn't have much time recently to follow what is going on SP but during those few glimpses it was very easy to spot your extraordinary shots! I like your work very much! Thanks for sharing all those beauties.
Great colors on this one and long exposure adds that final touch with moving clouds, excellent!
