Area and Trail Information

These pictures are from the Chief Noonday Trail, which is a trail in the northwest part of the Yankee Springs Recreation Area. Yankee Springs is located in Barry County, south of Grand Rapids in the western lower peninsula of Michigan.

This trail has a trailhead and parking area located on M-179 (Chief Noonday Road) in Yankee Springs.

Also, part of the Chief Noonday Trail (about the southern 60%) runs concurrently with the North Country Trail (a national scenic trail).
