Chuckwalla
I am not sure but I think it is a Chuckwalla. It would be the first time I saw one in its natural habitat. Real Hidden Valley, Joshua Tree National Park. April 10, 2010

Voted 10/10

I spied one in central Arizona in 1993.

They actually live on the rocks, and possibly

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race."   --Calvin Coolidge
