Re: Nice!Eric,
How did you know that? (The mineral fair / rock show.)
Tucson is kindof like a second home for me and my husband. We love the area...we just could not brave the 45+ degree Celsius days down there in the summer.

Re: Nice!I love minerals, that's how come I know. Whenever I can, I go to the fairs in Salzburg, Wels, Innsbruck and, of course, the mammoth one in Munich, where you see the top best of the top best of just EVERYTHING, from all parts of the world! I've seen so many breathtaking specimens of quartz and other minerals that were found in the U. S. as well!
So Tucson is for you and your husband a sort of a second home...and otherwise you live in Colorado, right? I hope to come to Colorado and Utah one day and see for myself these incredible spots like Cathedral Valley, Monument Valley etc., the photos of which I've seen so many of here on SummitPost have just utterly taken my breath again and again and again!
Yeah - 45+ Celsius, that's rather hard on the system...I know meanwhile what 40 degrees Celsius are - that was the temperature in August 2003 when I was in France, but over 45, that I haven't experienced yet...
Cheers,
Eric

Re: Nice!Eric,
Yes, we still live in Colorado. My parents "winter" in the Tucson area, so we visit at least once per year.
Absolutely, I strongly urge you to plan a visit to the Southwest United States. The mountains, the canyons, the red rock deserts...this land here will move you.
