Clouds above South Willow Peak | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Seen looking north from the summit of Deseret Peak. You can also see the smoke from the July 21 2007 wildfire in the North Willow area

Hasn't voted | There is also one on the right that has to be a separate fire. | | Posted Jul 22, 2007 1:18 am |

Actually, from the Grantsville area on the drive to the trailhead, you could see that the smoke that in this photo is on the right is actually coming from the largest of three separate fires in that area, making a total of four. Bad day for the trees. | | Posted Jul 22, 2007 1:23 am |

Hasn't voted | Thanks! It took some bracketing, since my poor excuse for a light-meter (i.e. the LCD display) on my camera was hard to see in the bright sun. | | Posted Jul 22, 2007 11:36 pm |
| lcarreau | Great photo of recent fires... | |
Voted 10/10 | Yes, summertime lightning storms RAKE this Tooele County range quite often. HEY - my brother, (living in Grantsville), could see this fire from west end of town. GREAT SHOT! Both of the clouds & the four fires. WOW! (The mountain rising in the foreground is South Willow Peak.) | | Posted Sep 16, 2007 12:02 am |

Hasn't voted | Thank you for the compliment and the information. I will change the title so that it no longer says "unnamed mountain." | | Posted Sep 17, 2007 12:24 am |
