On 02June, 2012, my friend Jack and I climbed the Clyde Couloir to Starlight peak. Conditions were perfect, with snow/ice on the lower part of the couloir, great ice on the crux pitch, and soft snow above all the way to the notch between North Palisade and Starlight. We did not experience any rockfall. The weather was perfect, no mosquitoes were out yet, and we enjoyed our best ice climbing in California so far. It was 100F degrees in Owen's Valley when we got back down to Bishop... Eviva California!
This is a classic Sierra climb! I will let the video do the talking:
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."
