Rock Route

I looked at the Minarets for years before actually getting the nerve to so up it. Finally headed up the Rock Route a couple years ago... It's a great route, and not nearly as impossibly steep as it looks from below.

You must have taken this on your Sierra Challenge trip. I see you couldn't make it two years in a row!

After we climbed SE Face we took the Rock Route on the descent. It was a good challenge to come down that after a long climb! Party that finished a few hours after us, ended up bivying on the summit.
I did not attempt to do Sierra Challenge 2 years in a row. My vacation in 2011 was spent in Alaska/Washington. :)
