Looking at the West Side of Hood and the starts to the REid Headwall and Leuthold Couloir routes. Bergschrund extends across both routes and a large crevasee is just barely visible in the lower left (we skirted it above and it was at least 20 feet across. Compare this shot to this one taken from the same spot just 2 months earlier. Lots of melting and lots of ice and rockfall now.
