Convict Canyon

After fording Convict Creek one has to traverse a large talus field along the stream trying to find the continuation of the Convict Canyon Trail. You can scramble from the stream straight up the scree slope (away from the creek) and you will intersect the faint trail at some point. Or, you can scramble among the rocks along the stream further up the canyon until you will see the trail after the scree slope further up the canyon wall. Pick your route of choice to get there. This part is a lot of fun, however, you don't want to tbe caught here during strong winds or immediately after heavy rain (steep canyon walls with lots of loose rocks).
