The summit has changed a lot from the time that picture was taken. The summit it's not rounded anymore, a big crevasse cut the it in two.
The trail you can see in the picture is a bit steeper now. But Cotopaxi is the same beautiful and enjoyable mountain as always.

Summit crevasse.It's a deep crevasse, but we made already an alternative route right before reaching the summit. You won't even notice the crevasse is there.
