Cotopaxi glacier

With all the fresh snow in the weeks before, the ascent from the refuge started on a snow slope. Still, the transition to the glacier was very clear, by the ice formations forming the glacier. Just below that, the terrain flattened out some, and that was where everybody was roping up. A short, steepish section led onto the glacier, and there you got more ice formations - like this one.
