Zion valley becomes even more beautiful after a snowstorm. We were lucky to get there a day after a huge one.

Thank you for the nice comment, Silvia,

I love Zion...a few years ago I spent a glorious day repelling 17 pitches down to the narrows, through cracks and waterfalls...we went to get bloody Mary's afterwards on a Sunday in Utah, came back with rootbeer...

LOL, Cedar. I once commented on a friend's photo about keeping beer cold in Utah. He answered back "the only beer we get in Utah is the root kind." I love Zion too, in fact I love all of Utah. Zion is glorious, period.
Thank you for the visit and the story, Cedar.

Tim, Zion and Arches are two national parks every American should visit at least once in a lifetime. Try to catch these places in snow and observe beauty in its purest form.

Thanks for the visit, Tim.

...as the great Canadian pianist Glenn Gould put it in an interview: "Caution! Masterpiece heading our way!"...
These winter photos you shoot of these intensely red-colored rocks that contrast with the white snow are absolutely breathtaking! I just love it!
Cheers, Marc,
Eric

You are too kind, Eric. I wish I could take credit for the beauty of Zion. I have been lucky to get there right after a big snowstorm. We had three days of clear weather and cold temps. All I did was to pint and shoot.

Thank you for the kind words, Eric.

Never been to Zion with the snow. My shot from this same location isn't even noteworthy, crummy weather. You have a beautiful shot though.

Thank you very much Arkitekt. Crummy weather was what I had on all of my previous visits to Zion. The last two times, in 08 and 2010, I really lucked out with all the snow and sunshine.
