OverviewCourthouse Mountain is a beautiful peak in western Colorado, San Juan range of Rocky Mountains. The trail is well marked, and easy to follow. It is only 1.8 miles one way, making this a nice and short trip. The mountain looks very impressive from the distance, and there is a short scrambling section making this hike interesting even for an experienced mountaineer.
The views of Chimney Rock from this hike are amazing! I love this part of San Juans - Cimarron range, many interestingly shaped peaks, and very uncrowded.
