Crossing Ingraham Flats on...
Crossing Ingraham Flats on the way to Disappointment Cleaver. 8-9-69 Slide scanned to digital but obviously I need a better scanner. I couldn't get the reddish color out of the shot.

Dean, let's talk about this. Maybe, I can COLLECT my photos into a TRIP REPORT. Even though, it was over 23 years ago. YES, from your photo, looks like you had VERY TREACHEROUS CONDITIONS during your climb. That's the point I'm trying to make: THESE GLACIERS and THIS MOUNTAIN ARE ALWAYS in a CONSTANT STATE of CHANGE! Thank you, DEAN!!!

By all means, a trip report would be great. Even though there a ton of Mt. Rainier trip reports, every one is special to the person who experienced this amazing mountain. By the way, note no helmets on any of the climbers in this shot. Times have changed.

NO helmets for our party, either. I'm posting another photo ... we were unroped & "helmet-less" on the upper Ingraham Glacier !!!

Flirting with disaster, I guess. Oh well!
I wonder if Lou Whittiker was watching ...???
