Good read here, Gangolf. Even with ones objective so clearly in front you, it's amazing how 'lost' one can become in what would be originally thought of as, an easy day out. Dam good thing for your GPS. I love the pics you have posted here. Amazing, even for December, Teide has no snow?! There's global warming for ya.
Great read! Thanks for posting!

Re: All is never as it seems
Not sure about the global warming thing in this case. Weather is very constant on the Canarias and it needs an exceptional period to have Teide beneath the clouds. And - as said in that other note - we had south-eastern winds from the Sahara. You won't expect any snow from that area ;-)

that the GPS receiver does have a function up there, because I'm heading to Tenerife next week (and carrying my GPS, of course!). I'll try and get a window seat on the flights in and out, maybe I'm the one destined to get that aerial picture for you! ;)

Re: Nice One!Sounds good - but maybe you can wait until I put up the (planned) Tenerife page. I'd love to have a good aerial picture on it

Re: It's nice to know...Depending on which type of GPS you have - this link might be useful. It's a Garmin MapSource map of all of the Canaries
