crumbled summit block of Chief Mountain
The summit of Chief Mountain is comprised of horribly rotten rock, and as such is only a few feet wide in some places. Chief's sedimentary nature is part of what makes it unique; looking down the east face provides an amazing aerial view of a stretch of land absolutely decimated by a massive rock slide.
