Cut Bank Clearcut

If bushwhacking ain't your cup o' tea, a primitive trail that follows the east boundary clear cut provides access to Mad Wolf Mountain. This photo is taken from south bank of Cut Bank Creek a few hundred feet from the Cut Bank entrance gate. The fence visible in this photo disappears after a short while, and a well-worn trail with minimal obstacles (two or three loose hillsides, abundant downfall, and a few very overgrown patches will be encountered) leads all the way to the top of Cut Bank Ridge.
