Daff Dome and Fairview Dome from Cathedral Peak

Daff Dome and Fairview Dome from Cathedral Peak

With many little unnamed domes piling back toward the Sierra crest. You can see how the Tuolumne Glacier did not reach high enough to effect the upper slopes of Cathedral Peak.

Awesome

How far above the trees at the bottom are you?

Re: Awesome

Thanks Baarb. It's about 2,500 ft. from the summit of Cathedral (10,911') to the lowest trees.

Jeeze Kathy thanks!
I can't believe you've never been to Yosemite! I live only 4 hours away. A friend took me there in 93 and I fell in love with the Sierra from there. If you plan to go there let me know and I can give you some tips on how to get the most out of it, at least from my own experience.

Yep! We came through CA in summer of 2000 and decided not to brave the crowds so I missed my chance! But I will get there someday; definitely and I will take you up on your offer for the inside track on hints!!!
