Damselflies

Damselflies

Damselflies laying eggs. Photographed in Pine Creek area of Red Rocks, Nevada. There are three stages in the life cycle of a damselfly: egg, naiad (the nymph of a damselfly) and adult. Males of most damselfly species are brighter-colored than females. During mating you will often see them fly in tandem.
