Thanks Rob! I'm not sure if the tale has spread to you already - I'm doing this mainly because I miss my girlfriend who spends her weeks in Stockholm/Sweden. You're supposed to do something, don't ya?
Trying to stretch the limits, you know? I dream of having one of these little buggers as a picture of the week. Or would some crappy flower do the job better?
How could I miss a whole page? Very nice, fine written, OK, the attractiveness of this mountain is just a bit below the highest rank, I guess. But views are very fine.

Thanks Vid. It depend what you find attractive. At least it is very interesting. And yes, you have fine views. Most of the time the "unattractive mountains show the best views. Wait until I'll post Rauchkofel. That one is just located beautifully but in itself rather lame. But incredible views! The picture I posted yesterday (the blue one) was taken from its summit and there are more like that. See the sig pic of the Western Main Ridge page ;-)
La Mutta is difficult to translate. The Italian word "Mutta" ("La" could be the article) does not exist. "Muta", without a "t" means "dumb" (female) or, related to a set of dogs, means "pack of hounds". All these transaltion, as you can see, are not directly related to your mountain. It is sure, on the contrary, that original names in German of mountain close to the boundary between Italy and Austria were translated in Italian during Fascism with improbable names, taking into account only the sounds of the words. I'll see to find more information. Therefore, I should not be worried about this and I suggest to continue to call them Demut or La Mutta, as you like.I hope to be clear and I apologize for my english.

Untitled CommentThanks a lot! You're right my standard gets a little lax these days. I pulled myself together last night to try to compose a decent text.
Glad you liked it.I stayed up to late last night and now have a splitting headache so I'm happy that the work was worth it ;-)
