Re: And I thought hood was a popular climbThis was the first good weather day in over 2 weeks. Everyone was anxious after waiting for several days. I think there were about 100 people heading for the summit this day. The overall summit rate for Denali this year is well below 50%

Busy DayThat was by far the busiest day!! I can think of at least 10 people that I knew really well who summitted that day. The amazing thing was that the weather continued to be nice for at least three more days. I think the summit rate prior to the 12th could have been 25%, but for the 12 - 15th was more like 95%. Crazy how important timing is!
