Desolation Peak is the sub-alpine massif in the middle of the photo. The twin towers of mean old Hozomeen Mountain loom beyond. The left (north) summit is 8066 ft; the right (south) summit is 8,003 ft.

I was up on Desolation a few years ago and am still drooling in memory of the views of Hozomeen and Jack Mountain.
