Thats me on the east face of Steens Mountain in a futile attempt to summit Devine Rock in late february. went a little overboard on this one, I was wearing the koflachs while having the crampons and ice axe at the ready.

Geez,

Would never have thought there would be so
much snow? Looks to me like you were fully
equipped for the scramble or potential climb.

What happened ???

Poor snow and rock conditions, it was our 1st time doing something like this so we had no idea what to expect.
