Doe in Flight

Just outside of Lexington, KY a heard of Whitetail Deer finds refuge on a farm that doesn't allow hunting. I went there one snowy day hoping to photograph some of them. As I drew near, I saw the heard close to the road and passed them to park a quarter mile down. I was able to sneek back to them behind a rock fence, pop up and shoot a handfull of frames in the five seconds before they all vanished! January, 2002
