Which "other" stuff? Colorado has now the law about medical marijuana, so climbers make excuses that they need it for their sore muscles - hahahha, but I don't smoke..

discussion, but you have a valid point..

Although he has over 30 years of ice climbing experience, what if the guy
accidentally dropped his lit cigarette, and
in "burned" into somebody's climbing rope???

Anyway, I think we all should wait until
"after hours" to follow our bad vices & habits, so gotta agree with you Mister Steve!

I have seen even younger guys smoking while belaying, especially on difficult pitches. I was told that they like to kill their time doing that... hmmm....
