Voted 10/10 | An isosceles triangle is a triangle with
(at least) two equal sides.
Now, somebody just needs to go out there and
test the theory ON Isosceles Peak !!! ! | | Posted Jun 5, 2009 9:25 pm |

Hasn't voted | It's been almost 10 years, but yes, I think this is the lower lake.
My brother and I spent one night here on a 3-night trip from South Lake to Muir Pass and back, and I have to say that Dusy Basin is easily one of the most incredible places I have ever been, Sierra Nevada and beyond. I would love to go back there and ramble and explore.
I hope that if you're going in early July, which is when we went, you have several tons of bug dope; as we hiked through the basin on our way to LeConte Canyon from Bishop Pass, we actually had to run because of the mosquitoes, and when we camped there, we spent most of the afternoon sweating in the tent for the same reason.
The skeeters were pretty bad everywhere those few days, but they outdid themselves in Dusy Basin. I think only in the Beartooths of MT/WY have I seen them worse.
Enjoy! | | Posted Jun 6, 2009 9:43 pm |

Hasn't voted | Thanks-- it's hard to get a bad shot in this place, though; it's one of the greatest hiking destinations I've ever seen. | | Posted Jun 16, 2009 6:45 pm |
