Eagle on Blackerby
Just above treeline and at the start of the ridge, a juvenile bald eagle was perched on a rock scouting out its next meal.

I bet they get pretty hungry at that age.
(Hope it was finding plenty to eat.) Awesome!

Thanks Larry! Up there, though they're spoiled with ptarmigans, I thought it was a strange place to see the eagle. Lower in elevation all the salmon were spawning which is practically a buffet for all.
