Thanks for the description. This route has been on my to-do-list for quite some time now. I only got to the Sloan Saddle once from Eaton Saddle on my way down Bear Canyon. I think I will have to hike up Brown Mountain soon. It seems to offer great views from the top. Thanks.
I'm sure you'll like it. And, of course, you can also start at Switzer's, go down Bear Canyon to Sloan Saddle and pick up the east ridge to the summit.
