East Ridge of Cotleton

The East Ridge of Cotleton. A climber's path goes up it from Appleton Pass. the path is steep at first with some minor rock outcrops to go around left or right. Then an ascending traverse is made across talus on the north side (pictured here) to another steep bit before reaching a rocky step with an interesting horn on the left skyline. Here a sketchy traverse across heather and grass and talus gets one to easier ground. Aug. 12, 2017.
