beautiful!

Nice shot Jim. I realy like this photo. Nice to know that while I worked you stood upon the breasts of the world. I'm just a tad jealous.

Re: beautiful!

Thanks Jon. The jealousy is mutual. I noticed that you recently had some fine views on a day when I was working. The only consolation is that the mountains will still be there another day.

Re: beautiful!

Thanks Dean. I just wish the day hadn't been quite so hazy. This might be the best vantage in Colorado to get a shot of an alpine peak towering above the plains and I wasn't up to doing it justice. A fine excuse to go back.

Re: Wow..

Generally wet, heavy snow and deeper than I had expected. Snowline is probably about 9,000' feet on northern aspects. I started early from a camp at Cordova Pass and made the top at 8:45 AM on frozen snow but wasn't nearly fast enough to get back to treeline before it had started melting again. And, your old friend Greenhorn seemed to be buried.
