I reccomend the Engle Lake scramble. It is a blast and there is no backtracking along the trail down to the lake. We saw a forest fire on a nearby ridge and a spotter plane circling. We also saw a moose on the ascent and descent in the same place. Tons of fun but it's a tough climb in the beginning. I don't think the trail crew understood the idea of switchbacks :).
