Rezervația de zimbri și faună carpatină Dragoș Vodă (RO) was established in 1968. 22.3.2012 took place the first reintroduction of the european bison into the Romania´s wilderness.

Strong animal.

Bison is a legendary animal. In my town there is the statue of a buffalo is struggling with Dragos Voda. He found places where I live now.

My dream is to observe him (free-ranging herd) in Bukovina wilderness (Ukrainian side). But I heard, that some animals already crossed the border and were observed near Falcau village located just 30 km Northeast from Obcina Feredeului. It is a pity you do not know the exact place, where bisons can be observed.
