False Summit

This peak is just SE of the main summit of Hoback Peak. During the climb, it seems as though this is the actual summit. The real summit is a short distance and easy walk away from this vantage point, which is above the steepest section of the NE ridge, the standard route. Wyoming Range, WY-- July 2009
