Voted 10/10 | Makes me warm to snow:) Even though most of the trees seem to be going in the opposite direction:)
Cheers

Hasn't voted | yatsek,
Well, trust me you'd be warm enough after this ascent! It was a lung-burner and a leg-burner. We were all relieved to finally gain that first ridge.

Voted 10/10 | Haven't forgotten that great feeling yet (first experienced at about 10 years of age:))) Such memories stick in our mind for years, fortunately. | | Posted Mar 17, 2009 1:21 pm |

Hasn't voted | yatsek,
Yeah, you Polish climbers are famous for your ability to suffer in extremely cold alpine conditions. You could probably do this hike I wrote the trip report on in shorts and a t-shirt. ;)
...then, in traditional Polish climber fashion, stop to have a cigarette in the thin air on the summit. ;)
Cheers,

Voted 10/10 | Sarah,
But I'm just a scrambler hardly ever roping up. And I hate smoke unless of a little fire at a campsite. But my (female) instructor on my climbing course did smoke - each time I reached the summit at last she was smoking; it was a long time ago though, and the reason might've been my being so slow:) | | Posted Mar 17, 2009 3:08 pm |

Voted 10/10 | Doesn't elevation have something to do
with a person's lungs burning up & their legs
going out, or is it just OLD AGE ???
The most smoke I ever got was from fighting a
forest fire back in 1986. | | Posted Mar 17, 2009 10:35 pm |

Voted 10/10 | To Larry,
That's rather young age actually - if you get older you're either not fast enough to get this pleasant kind of burn-up or you're already burnt-out from work, or both. | | Posted Mar 18, 2009 10:16 am |

Voted 10/10 | I lose my breath and get very exhausted and
worn down just by looking at this photograph!
I DO admit that I'm suffering from occupational
burn-out, but my objective is to keep the
"home-fires" BURNING! : ))))) | | Posted Mar 18, 2009 12:25 pm |
