Finally it's up to us.

Finally it's up to us.

After have waiting for almost an hour and a half and have seen falling down from above nails and big pieces of ice....it's our turn to climb. The "small" ice waterfall to the south east should not be underestimated, it is more rock than ice (it will take twelve nails to put it safely). Pian del Colle. Susa Valley.

The truth dear Marc,

is that I've never trusted too much in the grip of my fingers and my feet.
The ice falls, in my case, are a great alternative, the steel of ice axes and crampons are more reliable.
As regards mine Arms, back and legs...it's all right!
I do lots of daily exercise by lifting on the visiting table my colossal patients (Great Dane, St. Bernard, Rottweiler, Golden, Labrador, Bernese Mountain Dog, etc.etc.),which normally have thin female owner shortly accustomed to lifting weight.
Have a really nice weekend my friend.
Roberto.

Re: The truth dear Marc,

Well, the point is that you are climbing, period. There is a saying, a rock climber is like an artist, on the other hand, an ice climber operates like a mechanic. They are both legitimate manners of climbing, only the medium is different.
Whatever you feel most comfortable with is your medium.

Stay safe my friend, and happy climbing.
Marc
