The day before this shot, the sky had been overcast. It was a good day for a long hike without the sun beating down. I assumed the same conditions would prevail in the morning, precluding any photogenic light. I slept in figuring my usual sunrise photo opportunity would be for not, and when arising and putting on my boots, I peaked outside my tent and jumped out in a panic! I ran, boots untied, with camera and tripod to setup this composition. It was the best sunrise of the trip and I almost missed it! | | Posted Oct 26, 2009 7:51 am |

Like sailors would say: Red skies at night, a sailor's delight, red skies in the morning, a sailor's warning? | | Posted Oct 27, 2009 7:23 am |
