Fog play on Mt. Diablo south slopes

Jay and I drove up the mountain and started the hike on the Summit Trail at about 2,500' to get above the fog. When we got to the summit (3,849') a higher cloud bank beat us and socked it in! January '11

Beautiful...

There is something about the inter-action of clouds and topography that is so fascinating. Nice capture of the fog in the lowlands. Must make for fine winter hiking.
