The above website links to a blog in which I feature the Okanogan Highlands area: This is my 3rd year on Summit Post and the site still amazes me ~ great images, lots of info and a fine gathering of people sharing it all. Lots of great folks populate this site sharing action, talent and adventure. In respect to so many great posts I'm simply a backyard orientated, semi-local trekker. An afternoon technical climb, a nearby summit, spelunking in local caves, bouldering with my kids, off-piste skiing. Thats the kinda stuff I love. Sort of like homegrown music with hundreds of differing varieties improvised on over and over. It helps that I live just outside a small, remote village in a deep river valley surrounded by over two dozen named peaks offering outdoor recreation all year. Because of busy, fair-weather seasons spent sailing, wandering and working I frequent Summit Post more in the winter with time to read and enjoy the images. Thanks for checking out my profile.
