Fond of Nevada slots ?

Not a fan of Nevada's slots ??? You'll be fond of Anniversary Narrows! Southern Nevada's own slot canyon, Anniversary Narrows is approximately 150 yards to about a quarter-mile long. Although the terrain is gentle, the deep sand of Lovell Wash and at least two 'Class III' places within the narrows make this slot a challenge - far away from the other slots in 'Sin City' to the immediate west. The top or north end of Anniversary Narrows opens up into a canyon cutting into a rocky multi-hued basin. If you're backpacking into the Muddy Mountains Wilderness Area, there's several nice places to camp. Please avoid camping near water. Please do not camp in Lovell Wash or in the narrows. Not only is there a flash-flood risk during storms, but your presence will prevent wildlife from walking through on their regular commute to nearby Lake Mead. March 31, 2008
