Forbidden Peak as viewed from...
Forbidden Peak as viewed from Sahale Arm on July 29, 2000. You can see the state of that "fearsome" couloir that leads up to the West Ridge Route. The snow looks like it could fall out of there at any moment. If it weren't for that nicely placed couloir, the popular West Ridge would be climbed quite a bit less, for the approach to it would be more difficult.
