Four Pacific Northwest...

Four Pacific Northwest...

Four Pacific Northwest climbers ascending the NBC (North Buttress Couloir) on the morning of April 19, 2003. Let's hope they encountered firmer conditions than our party the afternoon prior. In leading out on the Northwest Face (the normal continuation from the top of the couloir), I practically had to tamp down each step four times to consolidate the bootpath, thus making it feel like I climbed the last 800 feet of the face four times. Ugh! The climbers are just above and right of where I took this picture the day before.

Nice pic. Maybe this group should have climbed up before you to break trail. ;-) 4-stars

Re: mush, mush!

Just curious, paule....you say "4-stars" but haven't yet voted that way? Only one 4-star vote shows, and that was mine. Like I said, just wondering why pictures so often aren't voted on. ;-)

Re: mush, mush!

hmmm... that is weird. I just double-checked it again. Glad you pointed that out. I made sure my vote stuck this time. :-)
