Frary Peak: October 7 2007

The original plan was to climb Mount Timpanogos. An early major winter storm spoiled those plans. The snow level dropped to 4300 feet and snowfall in parts of the Wasatch looks to be measured in feet, not inches. 17 inches at Alta!

So, we had a nice climb of Frary Peak on Antelope Island and at only 6598 feet elevation. There was at least 8" of snow up there.

On the plus side we could see forever with no haze. The atmosphere is really clean.

I wonder how many people that live in the area know that they have such a neat peak in their backyards. I enjoyed all your pics, always nice to see family members involved.
